We will meet at Spavinaw State Park at 8am.  The creek is easily wadeable and you can also put in a kayak or canoe.  Bring your own lunch and we will provide homemade cookies.  If you have any questions about the outing, we can address them at our April 17th meeting or contact Gregg Welden at 918-284-6017 or Dick Turnbull at 918-698-0726.  We hope to see you there!

Kings River Outing for Smallmouth Bass
Saturday, May 17

060311 Kings 038

Plan to meet at 9:00 at Riverside Resort (Hwy 62 Bridge at Kings River between Eureka Springs & Berryville).  If needed, Riverside will do shuttles & they rent canoes & kayaks.  If you do not want to float, there is an access point that has wadeable water both up & down stream, plus Osage Creek enters the Kings at the bridge.  The section we will float has an 18″ minimum length for smallmouth bass; you might hook into a big one (this fish was caught in the section we will float).   An Arkansas fishing license is required, and bring your cameras to save the memories of a great trip!
Questions?  Contact Ken Richards at 479-531-5741 or Barbara Yee at 303-522-1452 .
